Summarized Itinerary
- Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel.
- Visit the Mughal Gardens "Nishat" and "Shalimar" after checking in. On Boulevard, travel along the Lake's edge. Visit a local Handicrafts Emporium on your way back.
- Visit Shankaracharya Temple after lunch.
- In the evening, take a gondola boat called "Shikara" for a house boat ride on Dal Lake (at your own expense).
- Visit local crafts market on your way back to view the exquisite carved hand-made products from Paper Machie and walnut timber.
- Hotel stay for the night
- After breakfast, go on a full-day of Sonmarg sightseeing tour.
- The road to Sonmarg passes through the Sindh Valley, which offers another beautiful view of Kashmir's scenery. During the summer, ponies may be leased for the trek up to Thajiwas Glacier, which is a popular local attraction.
- Return to Srinagar in the evening for supper and an overnight stay.
- Following breakfast, drive to Yusmarg, which is also a great place for a picnic.
- Mount Tatakuti, at a height of 15,500 feet above sea level, is accessible by foot or pony rides from Yusmarg. Sang safed is a grassland that is perfect for picnics.
- Check into the hotel when you arrive at Shillong.
- Return to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.
- Post breakfast, leave for Pahalgam.
- After Check in at Pahalgam, take a light stroll around banks of the River Lidder. Pahalgam is also known for several hiking routes and serves as the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra.
